Happy New Year

DSC_0026 effectThe Brent family wishes a Happy New Year! May 2015 bring lots of positive changes, health and happiness to all of us.

2014 was a year in which I mostly worked from home because of our little baby boy. I did translation and editing work and created subtitles, both for businesses and educational institutions. Besides that, we mourned the tragic death of Robin Williams. May he rest in peace and may this extraordinary artist and human being never be forgotten.

2015 will be an exciting year as my husband and I each work on publishing a children’s book. Both of us will graduate and eventually move to the United States. Together with my partner Jens J. Reinke from AJ-Images.com, I will work on finishing our feature-length documentary “On the Road to Al Jolson”. We have worked on this project for almost a decade and are excited to bring it to an end. Stay tuned for more news.

Art catalogue publication

IMG_8743[1] The catalogue in collaboration with our art project in Rostock has been published. My husband Wyman Brent wrote an introductory text, I wrote and co-wrote three articles on the history of certain symbols in art history as well as on current art projects in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (East Germany). The art projects were created in connection with local associations (“Vereine”), an integral part of German culture.
